Automated HR processes set to benefit UCT staff

10 July: Recent updates

Long service awards updated to include details of the 5 year long service award.

New union recognition agreements for UAWU and DETAWU with a revised recognition agreement for NEHAWU.

PASS Scientific and Technical promotions process updated for 2018.

Ad hominem faculty procedures updated for 2018.

Updated HR Contacts and redesigned HR departmental organisational diagrams.
4 July: 2018 IRP5 access on Employee Self-Service

We are aware that SAP HR Employee Self-Service(ESS) users are currently unable to access their 2018 IRP5 certificates on the ESS system. We are urgently investigating the issue with SAP Germany and will advise as soon as the service is available.
2 July: Updated HR forms

HR101 (Personal Details): Updated contact details for the Disability Service, added a Relationship field to emergency contacts and moved the Personal contact details further down the page to separate it from the Emergency contact details section.

HR145 (Termination) and HR168 (Checklist for EE Representative serving on selection committees): Contact person for exit interviews on HR145 form changed from Lucina Reddy to Glenda Kayster. Copies of HR168 forms to be sent to both Employment Equity Specialists, Glenda Kayster and Ursula Fisher.

HR193 (Application for Skills Development funding): Form updated for 2018 submissions, deadline is Tuesday 31 July 2018.
